Outline planning permission for the development was granted by B&NES Council in 2019. This permission established the amount of space to be developed, the uses on the site and the height and massing of the buildings.
Over the last year, the project team have developed the design and this online consultation provides more detail about how the site will be redeveloped with a mixed-use scheme including seven new buildings comprising office space, new homes, retail and restaurant units and a hotel alongside public areas and a 413 space car park.
The project will transform the Avon Street Car Park site, bringing a range of benefits for the local business community, residents and visitors to the city. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the public consultation will be held exclusively online.
