Help Refugees in Calais
A group of local Labour Party members are travelling to Calais in a couple of weeks to work with the organisation ‘Help Refugees’. They are taking a van and with your help are hoping to fill it with items that are urgently needed.
Since the Calais ‘Jungle’ was demolished and the Dunkirk camp burnt down, almost a thousand refugees have ended up sleeping rough in the local area, including at least 200 unaccompanied children in need of essential supplies, protection and support. The number is growing, but with press attention focussed elsewhere, donated supplies are dwindling. Your support will make a real difference.
